(SOLD) Pair of Edwardian Sheraton Revival Satinwood Demilune Console Tables English, circa 1890–1920

A pair of half-round (demilune) console tables in the Sheraton/Adam Revival taste, veneered in satinwood with a radiating fan pattern to each top. The frieze on each table is decorated with a painted rosette paterae flanked by scrolling floral swags, and the tapering square legs are headed with a flame-urn (torch) motif — decorative devices closely associated with English trade firms working “in the manner of Seddon, Son and Shackleton” in the Edwardian period.  No maker’s mark or paper label has been located; if one turns up on the underside of a top or inside a frieze, attribution — and value — could shift meaningfully.

Condition: Sold as found. Visible veneer splits to at least one top, a heat or water mark to one tabletop, and minor veneer lifting at an apron edge. Structurally sound, no evidence of prior repair or restoration.

Dimensions: 42″W x 17.5″D x 32″H
