Four full-width drawers offer excellent storage capacity, each fitted with a pair of turned wooden knob handles and retaining their original escutcheon plates — small but satisfying details that speak to the piece’s authenticity.

The top is particularly appealing, showing a beautifully knotted and figured surface with the characteristic nail-peg construction visible along the edges — a hallmark of honest Victorian country joinery.
